I realize it has been a while since I've blogged last, I have been busy with Grad classes but it was important to me to get this in because we probably only have one more year of Parker believing in Santa, the Tooth Fairy, and the Easter Bunny so here goes...
Parker decided last year that he was too old to go to the Egg Hunt in town. He was 7 at the time and I was thinking - Are You Crazy? Its FREE c-a-n-d-y and you love candy!
But this year was different, he was ready to go and dominate that hunt! Talking smack about all the candy he was going to get because he is "faster than all the other kids." He did very well at taking is share and doing his part at that hunt.
The next morning was Easter and before bedtime he wanted me to put carrots on a plate to leave for the Easter Bunny. By midnight I was done preparing his basket and nibbled on carrots as if a bunny might do. I left little nubs of carrots on the plate.
The next morning he came downstairs to see his Easter Basket and he looked at the nubs of carrots and put his nose down there at the plate and took a sniff...
"Yep, smells like rabbit breath!!", he explained. I smiled and laughed and then thought, some of the craziest people in the world are 8 year old boys.
